This is a high‑visibility, end‑to‑end role where you’ll shape growth strategy, influence investment decisions, and bring complex energy projects to life—from concept through construction.

In this role, you’ll lead pipeline development initiatives that directly support company growth and customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:

Originate & Grow Opportunities

  • Identify and develop new large‑scale pipeline projects
  • Build relationships with industrial customers, developers, and pipeline partners
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of growth opportunities across the region

Lead Projects from Concept to Construction

  • Own full project lifecycle: scope, permitting, financials, and risk planning
  • Guide projects through approval, funding, and execution
  • Partner with engineering and construction teams while maintaining business ownership

Structure Deals & Contracts

  • Support commercial negotiations (interconnects, transportation agreements, term sheets
  • Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure strong agreements
  • Balance customer needs with risk management and return on investment

Build Business Cases & Financial Strategy

  • Develop investment cases, financial models, and ROI analysis
  • Evaluate risks, costs, and long‑term value of projects
  • Present recommendations to leadership for approval

Navigate Regulatory & Market Environment

  • Support strategy related to Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) requirements
  • Ensure compliance with tariffs, regulations, and industry standards
  • Stay informed on market trends and energy dynamics

Lead Through Influence

  • Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Regulatory teams
  • Lead project teams and external partners without direct authority
  • Provide clear updates, reporting, and insights to leadership
What Success Looks Like
  • A strong pipeline of viable growth projects
  • Successful execution of large‑scale infrastructure projects on time and on budget
  • Trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal leaders
  • Clear, data‑driven business cases that support investment decisions
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or project management/development
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience building relationships and identifying new business opportunities
  • Knowledge of energy markets or infrastructure development fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience carrying out business development activities in the energy industry.
  • Greenfield natural gas pipeline development (origination through execution) with demonstratable experience delivering positive outcomes.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements
  • Experience working with a regulated utility
  • MBA or advanced degree
Skills That Will Help You Thrive

Business development & strategic growth

  • Financial modeling & investment analysis
  • Contract negotiation & deal structuring
  • Cross‑functional leadership & collaboration
  • Market analysis & regulatory awareness
What to Expect
  • Office and field hybrid role
  • Frequent in-state travel to customer sites, agency offices, and construction locations; occasional regional travel.
  • Field and construction site presence may be required during key project milestones such as for route walks, pre-construction meetings, and commissioning.
  • Must adhere to all applicable safe work practices.
