Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load planning
  • Ensure all DOT safety rules and hours of service policies are followed
  • Facilitate driver home time needs and requirements
  • Communicate all customer requirements
  • Manage drivers for on-time deliveries
  • Process drivers load information and paperwork for payroll and billing functions
  • Update billing requirements
  • Process lumper requests
  • Route and guide drivers on approved roads 
  • Update directions on customers loads
  • Equipment management
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance appointments
  • Maximize company asset utilization
  • Manage driver and customer retention
  • Direct and manage drivers to approved fuelling locations and mange Comdata fuel card maintenance
  • Manage and issue cash advances for roads expenses as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years previous transportation experience
  • Computer skills, typing, AS400, excel, word
