Description:

The laborer position is asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. These tasks may include hauling agricultural products to other branches and/or customer locations, general maintenance of equipment and the facility, operate forklifts and/or skid loader, work with anhydrous ammonia and provide support as directed by the branch manager.



Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a straight truck with a manual two-speed transmission
  • Deliver anhydrous ammonia
  • Haul crop protection products and seed
  • Assist in the maintenance of trucks and equipment
  • Maintenance of the office area, shop and grounds
  • All other general duties as needed

Requirements:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Agriculture and / or farming experience
  • Ability to read and write
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics
  • Ability to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission
  • Ability to operate a forklift and skid loader
  • Ability to follow established processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks

Education

  • Valid Driver’s license, Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit, bend and reach overhead as part of daily activities
  • Able to lift 60+ lbs
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
