We're seeking a Seasonal Color Manager to lead this high-impact division into its next era of growth, creativity, and industry-leading design.

Position Summary

The Seasonal Color Manager is the leader of the Seasonal Color department and is responsible for organizing people, materials, timelines, and execution across all seasonal rotations.

This role blends operations leadership, vendor management, team accountability, scheduling, inventory control, and creative oversight.

The ideal candidate is a calm, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, solves problems quickly, and can keep multiple moving parts aligned.

Responsibilities and Duties

Department Leadership

  • Lead and manage two Seasonal Color Designers and one Seasonal Color Associate

  • Build accountability, teamwork, urgency, and strong communication within the department

  • Coach team members for growth and performance

  • Create a positive, solutions-focused culture

Seasonal Program Execution

  • Oversee all seasonal rotations including Transitional, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Fall Bulbs, and Holiday installs

  • Ensure designs, ordering, scheduling, budgets, and production timelines stay on track

  • Coordinate with operations teams to execute installs efficiently

  • Help troubleshoot field challenges during active installations

Scheduling & Logistics

  • Build and manage install schedules for crews and vendors

  • Coordinate deliveries, staging, and yard readiness

  • Adjust plans quickly based on weather, labor, and client needs

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Manage vendor relationships and ordering processes

  • Ensure plant material is ordered accurately and on time

  • Maintain strong communication with growers, suppliers, and partners

  • Solve shortages or substitutions proactively and reactively

Inventory & Administrative Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and material tracking

  • Oversee spreadsheets, planning tools, and department organization

  • Support month-end reconciliation and operational reporting

  • Continuously improve systems and processes

Design Oversight

  • Provide leadership and vision to the design team

  • Review designs for quality, creativity, and feasibility

  • Support hands-on design work when needed

Internal Collaboration

  • Partner with Account Managers to support client needs

  • Work closely with the Director of Operations on execution

  • Coordinate with leadership on department priorities and growth

Job Requirements

  • Leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Advanced spreadsheet / Excel capability

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

  • Strong vendor management and relationship skills

  • Quick thinker with strong problem-solving ability

  • Comfortable being hands-on in office, yard, and field environments

  • Experience with ERP or operations software preferred

  • Landscape, nursery, horticulture, or related industry experience preferred
