Our designers work closely with our sales team and clients to program, plan, and specify contract furniture using the latest specification and rendering software. We work closely with our partners at Miller/Knoll to bring cutting-edge workplace strategy and design to commercial, institutional, healthcare, and hospitality settings. Responsibilities for this role include programming and space planning, site verification, product specifications, drawings, inventory, coordination with consultants, fabrics and finish palette selection, and assisting sales with presentations for clients. Designers also participate in specialty groups focused on industry trends, product development, special-purpose furniture, textiles, technology, and other industry areas.


Required Education, Skills, and Experience
  • BS or BA degree in Interior Design from a FIDER/CIDA-accredited institution preferred
  • High level of attention to detail and technical proficiency
  • Experience drawing or specifying contract furnishings
  • Knowledge of IBC, ADA, MAAAB, and other life safety codes
  • Ability to coordinate, plan, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities and high-volume workload effectively with speed and accuracy
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and team-focused
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Confident in leading client presentations
  • Familiarity with the A&D and commercial interiors industry
  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2018 and Microsoft Office; ability to learn other software programs quickly
  • CET, CAP Designer, CAP Worksheet, SketchUp experience preferred
Physical Demands:
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
  • Moving oneself in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces
Work Environment:
  • Work performed in a fast-paced office environment daily with visits to various sites, including warehouses, construction sites, client sites, and offices
