Description

The Jr Designer position will assist in the structural and graphical design of paper packaging and displays.

This role will support the sales group, production and customer service by supplying the needed items

from the design department. This role will be responsible for providing designs that can be produced in

our manufacturing facility. This role must have an understanding of packaging and the needs of the

customer.

Requirements

This position is typically staffed with degreed Packaging Engineers and Graphic Designers.

This position must have a good skill set in problem solving and understanding technical drawings

from engineering groups and customers.

Certified ESKO Artios CAD user is preferred this is the most common CAD system used in

packaging. This system is taught at many universities that provide degrees in packaging.

High skill level in Adobe Illustrator and photoshop is required.

An understanding of color as it is used in commercial printing, traps bleeds process.

An understanding of complex layered art files.

An understanding of prepress software such as Fiery.
