Collections Manager Job Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Department Oversight
  • Manage and drive the overall performance of the Collections Department
  • Monitor, audit, and evaluate collection activity across all accounts
  • Lead team meetings and establish clear goals and expectations
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management for collectors
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing team members
  • Collections & Account Management
  • Conduct collection calls and assist customers with payment arrangements
  • Review accounts and assess collection effectiveness and call quality
  • Analyze daily reports and performance metrics
  • Handle escalated customer concerns and complex account issues
  • Ensure compliance with FDCPA and all applicable regulations
  • Operations & Administrative Duties
  • Perform skip tracing, residence, and employment verification
  • Manage repossessions, including notices, agency coordination, and auctions
  • Oversee payment processing and daily deposits
  • Track GAP claims, warranty claims, and insurance follow ups
  • Coordinate paid in full accounts and title releases
  • Process refunds, vendor invoices, and support accounting functions
  • Team & Collaboration
  • Report delinquency trends and performance insights to leadership
  • Support team members with difficult accounts and problem resolution
  • Maintain accurate records and organized documentation
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment

Schedule: Monday - Friday Hybrid Position
Collections Manager Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

Collections Manager Qualifications
  • 5+ years of collections experience (auto collections preferred)
  • Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of collections regulations (FDCPA, right to cure states, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze data, manage priorities, and drive team performance
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and platforms
  • High School Diploma or GED required (additional education a plus)
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be 18 years or older, have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
