Description

This position operates automatic and manual coating furnace equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures.


Coating Operator - Aerospace Job Duties:

  • Equipment includes powder mixers, powder sifters, grit blast machines, coating furnaces, coating control panels.
  • Performs packing of parts into tooling and filling with coating powders.
  • Performs loading/unloading as well as starting/ending of coating runs in the coating furnace.
  • Performs unloading of parts from tooling and demasking masked parts.
  • At the discretion of the Shift Supervisor (Lead) the employee may be required to work in other departments to help maintain the flow of production to meet customer commitments.

Requirements

Coating Operator - Aerospace Job Requirements:

  • The work environment: temperature, noise levels, inside or outside, or other factors that might affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • The physical demands of the job include standing, bending, sitting, lifting, ability to lift 50lbs, and forklift driving.
  • Coating furnace operations
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
  • High school diploma/GED, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience involving similar equipment, processes, tools and machining operations.
  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Prior Aerospace industry experience
