Job description

Job Overview:

Nescon is seeking a Powder Coat Technician to join our team in Mesa, AZ! The Powder Coat Technician will be responsible for performing powder coat processes per product specifications and supporting the Powder Coat Department as necessary. Ideal candidates will have auto body, automotive or industrial paint shop operations experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Sandblaster in moving parts in and out of the booth, sweeping and shoveling media
  • Maintain spray booths, sand blast booths, and ovens
  • Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations
  • Hang and unhang parts from powder coat racks
  • Properly handle and dispose of various materials
  • Maintain documentation processes

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 2+ years of experience preparing surfaces for paint preferred
  • 1 year of forklift operation experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-directed and able to complete work with limited supervision
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Stand for 10 hours per day
  • Work in warm conditions
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Must be able to pass a drug test for employment

ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • Subject to moderate to high noise levels
  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris.
