CNC Router Programmer – 1st Shift
Position Title: CNC Router Programmer
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Router Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC routers used in wood fabrication and production. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Alphacam programming software, CNC wood routing processes, and the ability to support other manufacturing equipment as needed to meet production goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Alphacam software.
  • Set up and operate CNC routers for wood and wood-based products.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, CAD files, and work orders to develop accurate machining programs.
  • Select tooling, establish cutting parameters, and troubleshoot machining issues.
  • Verify dimensions and quality of finished products using measuring tools and inspection techniques.
  • Perform machine setup, calibration, and routine maintenance as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve programming efficiency, material utilization, and production throughput.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Maintain organized program files and production documentation.
  • Operate and assist with other production machinery and equipment as needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming and CNC router experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Alphacam programming software.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC wood routing, tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience troubleshooting CNC machine and programming issues.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
  • Ability to operate additional manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and production equipment.
