The company designs, engineers, and installs custom luxury interiors and advanced aircraft systems for airliner-derivative business jets. Comlux also offers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services.  Specializing in highly customized aircraft, Comlux transforms aircraft into personalized flying environments that reflect exceptional craftsmanship, precision engineering, and uncompromising safety.

Role Description
The CNC Router Programmer/Operator works under close supervision to review samples, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine output specifications. The role plans the sequence of required tasks, programs machine measurements, and marks materials for cutting or shaping as part of VIP aircraft modification projects. All work is performed in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and applicable FAA regulations.

Essential Job Functions
Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output.
Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job to meet blueprint requirements.
Knowledge of proper working material per engineering documentation and taking measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
Knowledge of importing modes from Solid Works and programming tool paths on Mastercam
Select appropriate size of batches, speed of machine, etc.
Select appropriate tooling for Anderson Stratus Pro-3 axis router and position material for job
Observe company rules and regulations, including housekeeping and proper use of safety methods and the safe operation of equipment.
Adheres to all record-keeping requirements and paperwork to ensure work is performed I.A.W stated documents and following the protocol of RSQM and IOP's.
Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperatures, identify issues, and perform preventive maintenance.
Mentor junior colleagues in proficiencies of running CNC Programming/Operation
Ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
High School Diploma, or GED, plus proven experience as a machinist.
Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi or automated tools and CNC machines.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Required Skills and Abilities
Strong ability to provide verbal and written communication.
Able to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
Must be self-starting and motivated with the desire to learn.
Ability to apply the use of routine to complex mathematical problems to solve work issues. 
Ability to read measuring devices such as a scale or caliper or other required tools.
Ability to use basic shop equipment (drill press, band saw, sander, etc.).
Ability to use basic hand tools (grinder, drill motor, wrenches, etc.).

Work Environment
This position is based in an aircraft hangar environment and may involve:
Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions
Loud noise levels
Use of heavy machinery and specialized tools
Potential contact with chemicals or hazardous materials
Working in confined aircraft interior spaces
