Entertainment company in Lititz, PA is looking for an experienced CNC Router Operator/Programmer who has experience using WoodWOP controls on Homag or Heian CNC routers. This is a direct hire opportunity working on brand new CNC Routers to produce custom speaker systems for the top musical artists in the world. Willing to off a relocation package for candidates interested in moving to the area!

Job Description

The experienced CNC Router Operator will efficiently operate Homag CNC equipment to cut and machine wood-based materials. This role requires deep technical expertise with the Homag CNC ecosystem and extensive hands-on experience using WoodWOP to execute complex machining operations with high consistency and precision. The experienced CNC Router Operator shares knowledge with peers, supports the development of best practices, and plays a key role in establishing reliable processes, maintaining product quality, and supporting production efficiency as CNC capabilities expand.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Homag CNC machines to cut and machine wood-based components in accordance with engineering drawings, WoodWOP programs, and detailed work instructions.
  • Execute, adjust, and optimize WoodWOP programs to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and efficient machine operation.
  • Perform complete machine setups, including tooling changes, fixturing, and routine adjustments required for production runs.
  • Verify first-article and in-process parts using appropriate measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machining or equipment-related issues within the scope of the role to minimize downtime and scrap.
  • Serve as a technical resource for other CNC operators by sharing best practices, techniques, and process knowledge within the Homag and WoodWOP environment.
  • Support training and informal skill development of peer operators through hands-on guidance, coaching, and collaboration on the shop floor.

Essential Skills

  • Advanced proficiency operating Homag CNC routers and related equipment.
  • 10 years of hands-on CNC operation experience within the Homag ecosystem.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, cut lists, and detailed work instructions.
  • Solid understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, fixturing, and material behavior in wood-based products such as plywood, solid wood, and engineered wood.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • CAM programming and CNC program development experience (advantageous but not required).
  • Experience with 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining operations.
  • Experience with two-face machining operations (flip operations).
  • Technical or trade education related to machining, woodworking, or CNC technology (preferred).
  • Ability to train and mentor other operators in Homag and WoodWOP best practices.
  • Disciplined, detail-oriented approach to setup, operation, and inspection activities.
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share expertise and support continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
