Job Description
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for the smooth running of the Marketing Department for the bicycle brands of ASE including the management of processes and people. Work closely with Creative Director, Product Development Director, and Global Sales Teams to support business initiatives. Lead a team of brand managers, Fuji Mountain Bike Marketing Manager and the Fuji Marketing & Advocacy Coordinator to fulfill the daily tactical needs and longer term strategic needs of the brands. As the Fuji Brand Manager, develop the brand marketing strategy, brand positioning, product marketing campaigns and annual marketing plans. The Marketing Director/Fuji Brand Manager works with the sales, product and creative teams to develop a cohesive and consistent marketing strategy across all points of engagement including advertising, sponsorship, social media, promotions and events.
DUTIES:
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Collaborate with Chief Marketing Officer - ASE, Creative Director and VP-Marketing Performance to plan the promotional calendar, develop creative briefs, and build production schedules to meet the marketing goals of the company.
โ€ข Work with Marketing Operations Manager to delegate projects - provide direction and information needed to complete projects successfully.
โ€ข Execute processes to manage workflow, communications, and decision-making to deliver on deadlines and on stakeholder expectations.
โ€ข Lead and conduct business in alignment with the company core values.
โ€ข Supervise, coach and develop direct reports and evaluate performance.
โ€ข Adhere to planned budgets, forecast spending, initiate purchase orders, review and approve supplier invoices.
BRAND MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Develop and maintain the overall brand and foundational position for the brand as agreed upon by all key stakeholders
โ€ข Work with CMO to establish annual marketing plan and manage yearly budget for all marketing initiatives for the brands
โ€ข Develop new model year/new product launch strategies in concurrence with general model year flow, as well as create strategies to take advantage of global market opportunities.
โ€ข Work with Creative Director to outline content and asset needs for brand marketing initiatives including videos, photos & copy for advertising, product launches, training materials, social media, dealer books, catalogs, websites, in-store promotional materials and other branded communications.
โ€ข Collaborate with Product Managers to develop bicycles and accessories that are relevant to the defined growth plans for the brand
โ€ข Build and maintain relationships with internal brand stakeholders (product, sales, marketing, manufacturing, retail) as well as external industry stakeholders (e.g. media, suppliers, customers, consumers)
โ€ข Represent the brand as needed at tradeshows, sales meetings, events and with the media.
โ€ข Track and analyze the effectiveness of all campaigns to measure the effectiveness of the campaigns and determine if ROI goals are achieved.
Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field and 5 years' minimum experience leading a marketing team.
โ€ข Proven ability to lead, delegate, and manage people effectively as well as receive and give direction well.
โ€ข Demonstrated proficiency in the software applications commonly used in the development and production of marketing assets.
โ€ข Demonstrated understanding of brand development, and management.
โ€ข Propensity for educating oneself on digital marketing outlets and trends
โ€ข Experience managing complex processes with multiple milestones, specific deadlines, and diverse contributors.
โ€ข Highly organized with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving capabilities.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while being self-motivated, self-directed with excellent time management skills.
โ€ข Ability to work across departments to fulfill requests of internal clients
โ€ข Ability to communicate effectively and present concepts one-on-one and in large groups.
โ€ข Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
โ€ข Demonstrate excellent judgment and superior decision-making skills
