Job description

Night Shift: Monday - Thursday 8:00pm-6:30am

Hourly Rate: $23 plus a shift differential

The CNC/Router Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and tend to the computerized woodworking machine (CNC Router). Responsible for starting the router, adjusting controls, and making trial cuts to ensure proper accuracy. Must be able to determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to blueprints and work orders. The operator feeds doors into CNC machine to produce desired routing and adjust CNC machine tables or cutting devices and set controls to produce specified cuts or operations. The operator is also responsible for monitoring operation of the CNC machine and adjust machine to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications. Inspects and marks completed work pieces and stack them on pallets, so that they can be moved to the next workstation. Verifies quality of all completed products and monitors production. Uses Masterpack data entry (scrap, reloads, production). Including Material Handler responsibilities: Staging product into CNC loader based on WIP schedule, wrap, label and stage all completed product, Remove and dispose of all cutout debris from machinery.

  • Build trust: By knowing how to communicate issues and problem solve while maintaining integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be mechanically inclined and have good math and measurement skills.
  • Must read and write English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have good attendance and safety records.
  • Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities.
  • This position requires high attention to detail.
  • Must be a regular, full-time employee with at least 6 months in current position. - (Once Fort Mill Masonite has 6 months of service this will apply to all postings)

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.
  • The employee is frequently required to perform repetitive motions.
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to feel or handle, manually slide and flip cores, and to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; and up to 80 lbs with assistance and is frequently required to bend, twist, stoop, walk, pull, reach, and ability to so at a fast pace.
  • Ability to handle multiple parts and to stand throughout entirety of shift.
  • The employee will be working in a facility with a high level of forklift traffic.
  • Intense and high level of concentration to focus on product quality and productivity.
  • Strong eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to work in a mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions, with a significant amount of dust.
  • Good attendance and ability to work overtime and weekends when circumstances and workload requires, as assigned by management.
