Job description

We're seeking a CNC Programmer to support our growing custom millwork operation. This is a key role where your knowledge, consistency, and focus on quality will directly impact production success. If you're experienced in millwork, we’re open to remote work—you’ll still be a vital part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Program 3-axis and 5-axis CNC routers using MasterCAM based on AutoCAD-generated drawings

Import, clean, and prep DXF files from drafting team, applying consistent layer logic and tooling strategy

Select appropriate tooling and optimize toolpaths for speed, accuracy, and material yield

Collaborate with drafting, shop floor, and production leads to clarify intent and resolve file issues

Maintain and evolve standardized tool libraries, templates, and macros within MasterCAM

Help train and support operators in executing programs accurately

Required Experience:

3+ years of hands-on MasterCAM programming in a millwork, woodworking, or custom fabrication environment

Strong understanding of tooling, materials (hardwoods, MDF, PVC, etc.), and machining best practices

Ability to interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and CAM-ready DXFs

Familiarity with 3-axis and 4+1-axis CNC router workflows

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly customized production environment

Preferred:

Experience in architectural millwork or custom woodworking

Familiarity with AutoCAD and file preparation standards for CAM handoff

Working knowledge of nesting software and toolpath optimization strategies

This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, solving problems effectively, and turning a design into a reality—one toolpath at a time.
