The Clinical/Program Director oversees all clinical and programmatic services within the ASAM 3.3 recovery home, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care. The program has designated the Clinical / Program Director as the Community Liaison in accordance with 12VAC35-105-325. The liaison is responsible for maintaining cooperative relationships with neighbors, local law enforcement, local government officials, referral partners, and the community at large. The liaison will respond to community concerns, coordinate outreach efforts, and maintain documentation of all community engagement activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and supervision of all treatment services.
- Ensure treatment planning aligns with ASAM 3.3 criteria.
- Supervise licensed and unlicensed clinical staff per DBHDS requirements.
- Ensure compliance with documentation, assessments, and service delivery.
- Participate in admissions decisions and level-of-care determinations.
- Lead quality improvement, audits, and corrective action plans.
- Provide crisis intervention guidance and clinical consultation.
- Serve as liaison between residents, families, referral sources, and the interdisciplinary treatment team within the ASAM 3.3 residential program.
- Coordinate admissions, discharge planning, continuity of care, and connections to community resources and support services.
- Ensure compliance with American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria, HIPAA regulations, and program standards while supporting recovery-oriented resident care.
Qualifications
- Licensed in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in substance use treatment.
- Strong knowledge of ASAM criteria, co-occurring disorders, and DBHDS regulations.
