About the Division of Child Life and Integrative Care:

The Division of Child Life and Integrative Care at Cincinnati Children’s is committed to the practice of family-centered care by promoting play, education, developmental and psychosocial support. We are an integral part of the health care team who can support the child’s outpatient visit and inpatient stay. We can minimize stress and maximize coping of patients and families.

Scope of Clinical Coordinator Job:

The initial scope of this position will be focused 60/40 operational and clinical support to the Division of Child Life and Integrative Care staff. Further evaluation and phasing of this role may open the capacity for potential clinical staff supervision in the future. The role will be instrumental in developing, coordinating, implementing, consulting, and evaluating efficient care coordination for patients and families needing support during healthcare encounters. This includes patients enrolled in the Adaptive Care Program and those who request services through the division's referral phone and email systems. Your work will directly impact the care of these patients and their families, making a significant difference in their healthcare journey. This role will coordinate care requests for program services in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff.

Primary Duties:

The role will ensure effective planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating program service support with direct patient care coordination. This is crucial to meeting the department and medical center's patient and family care standards, research components, and modeling adaptive and emotionally safe care. Strong knowledge of Child Life and Integrative Care clinical practices will be vital in providing care for the health needs of infant, child, adolescent, and adult patients and their families.

Professional Responsibilities:

This Clinical Intake Coordinator will ensure that staff receives support, education, and resources to meet patients' and families' evolving care needs. The Clinical Intake Coordinator will share applicable and appropriate information with staff promptly and consistently. Additionally, this role will collaboratively oversee the creation of adaptive care program materials for the division's use, including those required for policies, education, training, outreach, and patient resources. Furthermore, this clinical intake coordinator will be responsible for continuous data collection to evaluate and further develop patient care needs and division care standards.

Clinical Staff and Program Support:

Will actively support current and new programs for assigned duties and provide leadership and mentorship to clinical staff to promote optimal care services. Actively engage in discussions with the Child Life and Integrative Care Leadership Team to address time-sensitive issues. Aim to cultivate strong collaborative relationships with clinical care areas and services to facilitate and sustain optimal care coordination services from the Child Life and Integrative Care division.

Schedule:

40 hours per week, 1.0 FTE On-Campus. Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the flexibility to shift work hours to support patient care needs. Weekend hours are a commitment to this position, and the shifts will be determined by the requests for specialized services of divisional support (e.g., sensitive care clinics).

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Master's Degree preferred.

· Certified Child Life Specialist required.

· 5 - 7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

· Working experience with children and young adults with developmental disabilities.

· Experience working in a multi-disciplinary field.

· Maintain any other work-related training and certifications, such as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.

Pay:

$28.15-$43.00 per hour ($58,552.00-$89,440.00 annually)
