Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for leading, developing, and coordinating clinical informatics initiatives that advance the effective use of health information technology across Health & Human Services (HHS). This role ensures that clinical systems, workflows, and data standards are optimized to support high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The individual serves as a key liaison between clinical departments, technical teams, and external partners to translate clinical needs into system requirements, improve data integrity, and guide technology-enabled process improvements. As a member of the IT management team, the Clinical Information Manager participates in strategic planning and resource allocation related to clinical applications, data governance, and workflow optimization. The individual in this role supervises the IT HHS Systems and support team, providing leadership in the evaluation, configuration, implementation, and support of clinical software systems-including electronic health records (EHR), commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products, custom solutions, decision-support tools, and integrations with internal and external care partners. Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Information Systems, or a related clinical or technical discipline is required. Master's Degree in Health Informatics, Clinical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in clinical informatics, EHR implementation/support, clinical workflow optimization, or health information technology operations. Considerable experience analyzing, configuring, and implementing clinical information systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clinical COTS software. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel across reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
