Plays a critical role in enhancing healthcare delivery by analyzing clinical data and integrating informatics solutions into clinical workflows. Develops and maintains clinical information systems to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency while training medical staff on electronic health records (EHR) and informatics tools.

Monitors compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards, evaluates emerging technologies, and recommends improvements to clinical practices. Supports clinical research through effective data management and resolves technical issues related to informatics systems to ensure optimal performance and user adoption.


Responsibilities

Clinical Informatics Specialist โ€“ Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education
Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited college or university required
Masterโ€™s degree preferred

Experience
โ€ข 3+ years of experience in clinical informatics or healthcare IT
โ€ข Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) and clinical data systems
โ€ข Experience training clinical staff on informatics tools
โ€ข Familiarity with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA)
โ€ข Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Certifications (Preferred)

Relevant IT or clinical informatics certifications preferred
