Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Informatics Coordinator (CIC)is responsible for the facilitation and leadership of facility Clinical Informatics by leading the implementation of and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility projects related to clinical informatics, including: 


  • standardization 
  • utilization 
  • integration 
  • optimization

The CICis the critical facility resource responsible for supporting the implementation of and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the electronic health record and other clinically related technologies. They are responsible for the coordination, support, and completion of project assessments, project advancements, workflow mapping, tools, and resources focused on Clinical Informatics initiatives, including but not limited to provider order entry and documentation, standard clinical documentation,promoting interoperability, and other technology that supports clinician workflow. The CICwillparticipatein the company-wide community of Informatics by working with the Director of Clinical Informatics and facility peers to ensure clinical applications are well supported. 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Associate degree in nursing 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Current(per State)RN license  
  • Nurse or Health Informatics Certification is encouraged 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
