What is the opportunity?

RBC Dominion Securities is currently seeking an Investment Associate to join a large portfolio management team specialized in providing wealth management services to a sophisticated clientele. You will provide dedicated support to the portfolio management team on investment and money management activities.

What will you do?

  • Execute trades and rebalance portfolios.
  • Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery.
  • Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
  • Respond to client inquiries (account transactions, requests for tax receipts, account reporting, etc.).
  • Assist the advisory team with client onboarding.
  • Help manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients: manage timelines and key dates for accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements. Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE)
  • Post-secondary degree in finance or a related area of study
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience within the investment industry
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
