We’re growing and looking for a Client Development Lead (CDL) who is excited to help scale our business development processes.

The Role

As our CDL, you will sit at the intersection of business development, sales operations, and relationship-building. This is not a plug-and-play role - it’s an opportunity to help shape how WORKWELL scales in the market.

You’ll be responsible for generating and qualifying opportunities, leading initial discovery conversations with prospective clients, and supporting a smooth handoff into deeper sales conversations. You’ll also collaborate closely with our facilitators and leadership team to ensure prospects experience the full value of WORKWELL from day one.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and refine outbound and inbound business development processes (prospecting, qualification, follow-ups, CRM hygiene)
  • Identify, research, and engage prospective clients across HR, People Ops, Learning & Development, and Executive Leadership
  • Lead initial discovery and qualification calls with prospective clients
  • Clearly articulate WORKWELL’s offerings, programs, and value proposition in early-stage conversations
  • Coordinate with internal facilitators and leadership to align prospects with the right programs and expertise
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting in our CRM
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in messaging, outreach strategy, and sales workflows
  • Support special initiatives, partnerships, and pilot programs as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • 2-3+ years of experience in sales development, business development, or a related role (B2B experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills - you’re confident leading conversations with senior stakeholders
  • Comfort with ambiguity and excitement about building systems from scratch
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Curious, coachable, and motivated by impact
  • Interest in workplace well-being, leadership development, or organizational health is a plus
