Reports To: CRO

Job Overview.

The Business Developer is responsible for driving growth by building client relationships, securing new contracts, and expanding ERI’s presence in the asbestos abatement and environmental services market. This role combines sales, relationship management, and market research to help position ERI as the premier abatement firm in California. The Business Developer works closely with leadership to identify opportunities, create proposals, and achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with insurance companies, general contractors, property managers, schools, government agencies, and private clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate repeat and referral business.
  • Research market trends, competitors, and upcoming projects to develop targeted strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver bids, proposals, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Estimators to ensure accurate scope and pricing.
  • Represent ERI at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Track and report sales activities, pipeline, and results to leadership.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue goals.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management (construction/environmental services preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos abatement, demolition, or related industries a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and close contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce software experience a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
