Job description

Apogee is looking for a performance-driven Business Development Executive with deep experience generating new business, managing client relationships, and partnering closely with recruiting teams across the North America region. You will drive top-of-funnel growth, convert new opportunities, and ensure seamless coordination with recruiters to support successful placements.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a commission-based environment, communicates with executive presence, and understands the dynamics of staffing, candidate placement, and talent operations.
What You'll Do
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across North America
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and hiring leaders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new client onboarding and early-stage engagement
  • Partner closely with a team of recruiters to ensure timely, high-quality candidate delivery
  • Oversee the full business development lifecycle from outreach to signed engagement
  • Track pipeline activity, revenue progress, and conversion metrics
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and long-term partnership opportunities
  • Maintain strong communication, follow-through, and executive-grade client interactions
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets tied to commission structure

Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition within staffing, recruiting, or talent advisory
  • Strong understanding of North America hiring practices and delivery models
  • Proven track record of generating new business and managing client relationships
  • Experience partnering with recruiter teams to support candidate placement
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and executive-presence skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - motivated by performance and earnings
  • CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) preferred
