Job description

Description
Position at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists
Leveraging Liaison / Client Care Associate (Full Time)
Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists Buzzards Bay, MA
Pay range: $22-$24/hour
Most new hires can expect an offer based on experience, expertise, and alignment with comparable positions within the hospital, typically between the minimum and the midpoint of the range.
Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) is growing, and the heart of that growth is an exceptional client experience. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who loves both the fast-paced flow of emergency medicine and the communication and organization that keeps clients, patients, and referring veterinarians supported every step of the way.
In this position, you'll work some shifts as a Leveraging Liaison (supporting the doctor/medical team) and some shifts as a Client Care Associate (front-end client experience and transactions).
About the Role
Leveraging Liaison (Doctor-Leveraging Support)
The Leveraging Liaison supports the ECC medical team to provide high-quality medical care with a high standard of service for the client, the patient, and the referring veterinarian. You'll work closely with the triage doctor to help keep patient care moving-supporting communication, flow, discharges, and client updates while the doctor focuses on diagnosis and treatment.
Client Care Associate (CCA)
The CCA is the first and last impression of CCVS. This role is client-focused and does not involve direct interaction with pets. You'll support clients and the medical team by coordinating appointments, sharing information, managing phones and records, and processing financial transactions-helping ensure every client feels informed and cared for.
Schedule
  • Full time (>30 hours)
  • Potential schedule includes a mix of day and swing shifts
  • Some shifts scheduled as Leveraging Liaison, others as Client Care Associate
  • Includes one weekend shift every week
  • Holiday rotation required
  • Initial training schedule may differ

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote patient flow to help limit client wait times
  • Communicate directly with referring doctors and hospitals
  • Communicate directly with pet owners/clients
  • Review and discuss estimates and finances with clients
  • Support patient discharge according to doctor instructions
  • Process payments and handle financial transactions accurately
  • CCA duties include check-in/check-out, directing phone calls, and data entry

Required Qualifications
  • Customer service experience
  • 2+ years in a veterinary hospital environment as a technician, liaison, or CSR (equivalent experience considered)
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn veterinary software
  • Basic math skills (deposits, payments, transaction accuracy)
  • Ability to balance priorities and stay calm in a busy environment
  • Clear, professional communication style
  • Friendly, engaged, and respectful with clients, referring DVMs, and teammates

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ezyVet and SmartFlow
  • Experience with CareCredit

Pay & Benefits
  • Starting at $22/hr, which is commensurate with experience, schedule, and credentials
  • Uniform allowance provided (scrubs)
  • Team discounts on pet care
  • Paid Time Off and Holidays
  • Weekly grocery delivery for staff meals and snacks
  • On-site Veterinary Social Worker to support emotional wellness and resilience

Why CCVS?
You'll join a team that values compassion, communication, and collaboration-where your work directly impacts the experience of clients, patients, and referring veterinarians. If you love being the calm, capable bridge between medicine and service, this role was made for you.
