Job description

Do you want to work with individuals and families, devastated by disaster? Is it important to you to know that these families are receiving the best resources and support available to them? The Red Cross needs you to work as a Recovery Client Care Services Associate. That is a big title, but what it comes down to is a professional and compassionate person who can serve as a caseworker for these families. Red Cross provides all training and travel (to disasters across the country) for those who are able to commit to this awesome opportunity.

The Recovery Services Client Care Program allows the Red Cross to rapidly meet disaster-caused needs by enabling clients to apply and receive financial assistance and/or community resources.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct Intake by interviewing the client and opening a case in Red Cross online program
  • Provide Financial Assistance to qualified clients.
  • Conduct Follow-up and Recovery Planning Services
  • Provide Internal Referrals
  • Provide Community Referrals
  • Assist with problem-solving and advocacy on request

This position is deployable to disasters across the country. The minimum deployment length is 14 days. All training and travel assistance is provided by the American Red Cross,
