Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Client Accounting Services Associate to support day-to-day financial operations for client accounts in San Francisco, California. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing transactional accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records, and working across both payables and receivables processes. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-organized accounting function through careful data handling, timely processing, and consistent use of accounting systems. Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, AP/AR, cash tracking, and bank reconciliations; follow client/manager notes, complete assigned bookkeeping work, research basic issues, and help prepare financial reports with guidance
  • Build strong client relationships by delivering responsive, high-quality service; promptly address questions and collaborate effectively with both clients and internal teams
  • Keep client records well-organized; coordinate with team members to complete projects on time, manage workload within budget, and understand how tasks contribute to overall deliverables
  • Take initiative in professional growth by pursuing learning opportunities, applying firm policies and accounting standards, and seeking challenging work to build skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both clients and internal teams
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and financial reporting concepts
  • Familiar with accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks) and comfortable using Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience, with knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, stay within budget, and maintain strict confidentiality of client information
