Terms of Employment: 
10 Months, 7 hrs per day, 5 days per week
Non-Exempt




Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. One year of experience in itemized record keeping.
  3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.




Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: 

To contribute to the morale of the Student Body by maintaining accurate records of their revenues and expenditures; to insure receipt of maximum revenues by maintaining and reporting accurate attendance date; to contribute to effective school/public relations by prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries and visitors; to help increase the efficiency in the performance of tasks and errands.

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Collects, records, and deposits all student related revenues.

  2. Audits disbursement vouchers for appropriate student signatures; verifies adequate fund balances; prepares checks for signatures and maintains sequence control of source documents.

  3. Reconciles cancelled checks with book and bank balances.

  4. Prepares monthly financial report on student funds.

  5. Audits teacher-attendance registers at the end of each register month, resolves questionable entries with individual teacher; completes data processing cards for each register by register month; reconciles data processing print-out reports to source documents and makes necessary correcting entries.

  6. Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, checks appointments, and directs or escorts them to the proper person.

  7. Answers office telephone and responds appropriately to requests for information.

  8. Reports immediately the presence in the building of any visitor who by passes the reception area and/or suspicious activity or unusual behavior on the part of the visitor.

  9. Distributes or mails all payroll warrants.

  10. Prepares reports and checks for proper agencies covering tax-sheltered annuities and credit union payroll deductions.

  11. Acts as insurance clerk in areas of group health insurance, dental insurance, and property casual insurance.  Maintains and issues all enrollments, terminations, and COBRA forms.

  12. Assists payroll clerks, mail clerk, accounts payable bookkeeper with such other duties as may be assigned.

  13. Other duties as may be assigned.
