Job Summary:

We are seeking a mid- to senior-level International Trade Compliance (ITC) Classifier to support classification of aerospace parts and technical data. This role reviews engineering drawings, specifications, and end-use to determine proper classifications under ITAR (USML) and EAR (CCL). You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, and compliance teams to ensure accurate, well-documented classifications, particularly for legacy parts no longer supported by the OEM.

This is an indirect W2 contract role with our company, expected to run 6+ months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical data to determine export classifications
  • Classify products and data under ITAR (USML) and EAR (CCL), including ECCN/USML categories
  • Document classification rationale and maintain audit-ready records
  • Support legacy part classification without OEM guidance
  • Partner cross-functionally to understand part function and end use
  • Provide guidance on export compliance, licensing, and restrictions
  • Support audits and stay current on regulatory updates

Required Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings and product documentation
  • Ability to determine classifications based on form, fit, function, and end use
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and handle controlled data
  • Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace/defense classification experience
  • Familiarity with legacy or sustainment programs
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Knowledge of licensing, exemptions, or audit support
  • Experience with ERP or compliance systems
