Job description

Position Title: Product Business Analyst

Reports to: VP, Product Owner

Department: Technology

Location: 3600 American Blvd. W., Suite 700, Minneapolis, MN 55431 / In office position

Classification: Full-time; Exempt

Summary: The Product Business Analyst is an integral member of our development and technology support team. Primary responsibilities include: facilitating communication between technical and business resources, assisting with product support, outlining new product development, and administrating internal Salesforce environments.

Essential Job Functions: Communicate effectively between a wide range of business stakeholders and the development team on gathering business requirements, solution design, and project implementation. Assist the product owner with managing the product backlog, developing detailed user stories, documenting solutions, and prioritizing development items.

Primary Responsibilities:

ยท Troubleshoot production issues within internal and customer-facing systems and Salesforce environments using product knowledge and simple development tools such as debug logs, the developer console, and other Salesforce/browser debugging tools

ยท Document User Stories for new features and ongoing enhancements.

ยท Create ad hoc reports, dashboards, and scorecards using data from multiple systems to support different business needs and departments, as well as troubleshoot and audit data issues

ยท Complete user acceptance testing as needed, use your understanding of business requirements to determine whether the product is functioning as expected and meets user and business needs.

Qualifications:

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in MIS or a related field

ยท Experience with Salesforce administration including user management, sharing rules, and data visibility or desire to expand expertise in this area

ยท Experience in Scrum/Kanban methodologies and their various processes and ceremonies

ยท Strong understanding of business analysis concepts including requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, communication, and documentation

ยท Experience writing effective user stories and acceptance criteria, managing product backlogs, and effectively facilitating refinement meetings

ยท Salesforce Certified Administrator preferred

ยท Basic understanding of the Salesforce development platform including Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and LWC

ยท Familiarity with cloud services like AWS (Lambda, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch), preferred

ยท Preferred experience with HTML and CSS, UX design and prototype building, Conga (Orchestrate, Collaborate), Orion Advisor Tech, JIRA administration (including user management, configuring workflows and screens, and permission settings), Visio (workflow visualization)

ยท Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access

ยท Familiarity with the wealth management or insurance industry strongly preferred
