What this job involves:
Lead strategic labs and infrastructure excellence as a Project Manager with JLL, where you'll lead strategic and cross-functional infrastructure improvement projects and end-to-end project delivery including alignment of concepts in terms of scope, time, and cost deliverable development to ensure project goals are met. You'll manage the design, permitting, and construction of projects through the use of established processes, experience, and expertise while partnering closely with Client's Technical Services Team and stakeholders to optimize process, procedure, and project delivery. This role positions you as a strategic leader in infrastructure project delivery, where your expertise in project management, technical coordination, and stakeholder leadership will directly impact project success and client satisfaction. Your contributions will support JLL's project management excellence while you develop ROM level project estimates for funding approval, select and manage project teams including subcontractors and consultants, conduct value engineering based on Client Basis of Design, lead project teams to investigate and implement energy and carbon related projects, and continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Project Planning & Execution: Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects while preparing agendas, developing and maintaining master project schedules and budgets for each project and project phase, ensuring project plan, scope, work structure, schedule, and budget are maintained by all involved parties
  • Team Leadership & Vendor Management: Select and manage project team and resources including subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and partners through bidding and vendor selection process while playing critical leadership, coordination, and communication role with all stakeholders
  • Project Monitoring & Site Management: Regularly monitor progress of all projects by completing site visits, tracking procurement activities, and reviewing contractor performance while conducting project meetings, tracking deliverables, and coordinating project updates and drawing reviews at all project phases
  • Financial & Contract Management: Develop ROM level project estimates for funding approval based on project program documents, review and approve requisitions, change orders, and invoices associated with projects while overseeing document preparation including contracts, close-outs, and punch lists
  • Technical Infrastructure Leadership: Lead project teams to investigate, develop, and implement energy and carbon related projects (solar PV, energy storage, LED lighting retrofits, HVAC, BMS, water fixture and meter retrofits, electrification) while understanding system architecture of HVAC and Renewable Systems
  • Quality & Compliance Management: Adhere to Client and JLL policies and procedures, obtain necessary approvals, understand local permitting processes, work with local building officials to obtain permits and approvals while conducting value engineering based on Client Basis of Design and industry benchmarking
  • Client Relationship & Strategic Support: Partner closely with Client's Technical Services Team to optimize process and project delivery, manage day-to-day client experience and expectations, continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, recommend and assist with internal program and process improvements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline or combination of relevant education, training, and experience deemed equivalent with 5+ years of project or construction management experience
  • 3+ years experience managing technical infrastructure with respect to MEPSF systems preferred demonstrating understanding of system architecture to identify project requirements including structural, electrical, and mechanical requirements
  • Solid understanding of construction industry, terminology, codes, documentation, and design disciplines with ability to conduct value engineering and understand local permitting processes
  • Strong proficiency with computer applications including Google Suite and proficiency with project management tools such as Clarizen and Procore demonstrating capability to manage complex project workflows
  • Strong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills, and proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Willing and able to travel as needed with on-site client-facing position requiring ability to work from office or site location, detail oriented and thorough with ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects while preparing agendas, maintaining schedules and budgets, selecting and managing project teams, and providing timely accurate project status reporting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in PE, AIA, LEED, or CMAA considered an asset with PMP certification or ability to pursue demonstrating commitment to professional excellence and project management best practices
  • Advanced experience with energy and carbon related projects including renewable energy systems, energy storage, building electrification, or sustainability initiatives demonstrating understanding of emerging technologies and decarbonization strategies
  • Experience managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders, extensive budgets, and compressed timelines demonstrating capability to deliver under challenging conditions
  • Deep understanding of MEPSF systems design, construction sequencing, and commissioning processes with ability to review technical drawings and specifications ensuring design intent alignment with construction execution
  • Proven track record conducting value engineering exercises, optimizing project costs while maintaining quality standards, and implementing cost-effective solutions that align with client objectives
  • Experience recommending and implementing internal program and process improvements, strategic planning initiatives, or operational efficiency enhancements that demonstrate capability to optimize project delivery

Estimated compensation for this position:
95,600.00 - 125,770.00 USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
