Job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Property, Casualty, and Benefits Administrator to join our dynamic claims team. We are large utility contractor searching for an experienced customer service rep with documented work in the property and casualty area of insurance with some employee benefits exposure. Position will work directly with the Benefits Claim Manager for internal benefits administration and external resolution of field property claims. Detail responsibilities as follows.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Benefit Administration

  • Assist with the administration of all employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, long term disability, and 401K
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits eligibility, coverage, enrollment and changes
  • Support the open enrollment process and maintain benefits records
  • Coordinate with benefit providers to resolve issues and discrepancies
  • Assist with benefit audits and reviews

Property Claims Administration

  • Responds to email requests from Centerpoint regarding property damage in field operations
  • Contacts homeowners or businesses to obtain information needed for claims resolution
  • Coordinates with Construction staff for specific claim guidance and crew scheduling for repair as needed
  • Prepares summary reporting information and documentation of claim status and details

Requirements and Skills:

  • Advanced Computer knowledge, including excel
  • Bilingual verbal and written abilities in English and Spanish required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with insurance agents, employees and homeowners
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Advanced analytical & problem-solving skills
