What is a chef concierge?

Chef Concierges are senior hospitality professionals responsible for assisting hotel guests with a wide range of services, such as making reservations, arranging transportation, recommending local attractions, and fulfilling special requests. They act as the main point of contact for guests who need personalized assistance during their stay. Chef Concierges often lead the concierge team and ensure high standards of guest satisfaction, drawing on their deep knowledge of the local area and established relationships with service providers. Their goal is to enhance the guest experience by anticipating needs and delivering exceptional service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a chef concierge?

To excel as a Chef Concierge, you need in-depth knowledge of hospitality services, local attractions, and guest relations, typically supported by experience in luxury hotels and sometimes certification from organizations like Les Clefs d’Or. Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), reservation software, and CRM tools is often required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, discretion, and problem-solving abilities help you create personalized experiences and handle guest requests effectively. These combined skills are essential for delivering exceptional service, building guest loyalty, and maintaining a hotel's reputation.

Job description

Join our White Elephant Aspen Team, part of White Elephant Resorts, a collection of award-winning boutique hotels and luxury resorts in Nantucket, Palm Beach, and Aspen.

Are you passionate about creating unforgettable guest experiences in one of the world’s most iconic mountain destinations? White Elephant Aspen is looking for a warm, polished, and resourceful full-time, year-round Concierge to join our Guest Services team.

In this role, you’ll go beyond recommendations—you’ll craft custom, high-touch itineraries that reflect Aspen’s unique blend of world-class skiing, outdoor adventure, fine dining, luxury retail, and cultural events. • Assist in managing VIP requests, amenity programs, and guest communications
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Aspen’s seasonal offerings, events, and must-do activities

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Concierge or Guest Services professional, preferably in a luxury, seasonal, or resort environment
  • Strong knowledge of Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley, including dining, recreation, shopping, arts, and seasonal events
  • Proficiency with systems like Maestro and ALICE is a plus
  • Exceptional guest service and communication skills—professional, poised, and proactive
  • A calm and thoughtful approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, including navigating winter conditions

Rated by The Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts, we are proud to offer a supportive and rewarding environment across all of our premier properties, including White Elephant Nantucket, The Wauwinet, Jared Coffin House, The Cottages at the Nantucket Boat Basin, Nantucket Boat basin, White Elephant Palm Beach and White Elephant Aspen.

White Elephant Resorts offers competitive salary and bonus, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer contributions, paid vacation, wellness reimbursement, and exclusive employee discounts across dining, retail, and hotels.

Be part of a team that delivers award-winning service in one of the most breathtaking destinations in the world. We offer a collaborative work culture, career development opportunities, and the chance to make a lasting impact on every guest’s stay.
