Position Summary

The Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care while providing leadership and support to the nursing team.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the assigned unit.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants.
  • Ensure residents receive quality care in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Complete assessments, documentation, and clinical charting accurately and timely.
  • Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes with physicians and family members.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident care coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Promote a positive team environment focused on resident-centered care.
  • Participate in the weekend on-call rotation.
Qualifications
  • Current, active North Carolina LPN or RN license.
  • Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
