Job description

About the Position: This position is located in the St. Paul District of the Army Corps of Engineers. It serves as the project manager and technical expert in areas involving navigation, dredging, and channel maintenance.Qualifications:Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience which includes meeting three of the following: 1) Direct dredging and channel maintenance activities by evaluating survey data, prioritizing work, and/or coordinating government and contract resources; 2) manage navigation and channel maintenance projects by planning work and/or developing budgets and schedules; 3) coordinate environmental compliance by supporting permits, reviewing regulatory requirements, and/ or working with internal or external stakeholders; and 4) serve as the primary point of contact for customers by coordinating projects, resolving issues, and/or providing technical guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
