Job description

Customer Fanatics Specialist

The Customer Fanatics Specialist is an inside sales role responsible for managing and developing an assigned portfolio of customers. This position focuses on building strong relationships, proactively engaging customers, identifying opportunities for account growth, and helping customers achieve their business needs. The role also provides responsive assistance with day-to-day account and service needs as necessary, working collaboratively across departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience and strengthen customer loyalty.

This role will work in collaboration with outside sales and customer service to manage daily business, and lead account ownership within a fluid account base.

Location: Smyrna, GA (Neat Battery Center)

Work Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Take a proactive approach to customer engagement by reaching out with opportunities, sales, and general customer check-ins.
  • The CFX role works to develop new business within existing accounts.
  • Analyze sales and profitability within key accounts and take action to ensure accounts remain profitable.
  • Assist in credit/terms related conversations as needed.
  • Take inbound leads and work to open and set up new accounts through the onboarding process.
  • Manage and make decisions within the guidelines on customer pricing, contracts, and overrides.
  • Champion customer experience through collaboration with sales, operations, IT, marketing, and merchandising teams on initiatives that enhance the customer experience and support customer retention and growth.
  • Resolve Customer Issues: Manage escalated customer issues through to resolution, coordinating prompt actions with relevant departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in inside sales, account management, customer success, customer service, or a related customer-facing role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and responsively with customers
  • Ability to build relationships and uncover opportunities within existing accounts
  • Ability to manage a fluid account base and balance proactive customer engagement with time-sensitive service needs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of emails, requests, and competing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving, fact-finding, and decision-making skills
  • Sound business judgment when addressing pricing, profitability, contracts, and customer needs
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across sales and operational departments
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to take ownership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with CRM and order-management systems preferred

Education and/or Experience: Previous experience in inside sales, account management, customer service, wholesale distribution, or a related field is preferred. Experience within the JanSan industry or knowledge of JanSan products, customers, and distribution channels is strongly preferred. Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal education requirements.
