Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and respectful Grounds Crew Worker / Landscaper to help maintain the beauty, safety, and dignity of our cemetery grounds. This role is responsible for landscaping, lawn care, and general upkeep to ensure a peaceful, well-kept environment for visitors and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilizing
  • Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation
  • Maintain cemetery plots, headstones, and memorial areas with care and precision
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools
  • Assist with grave preparation and restoration (e.g., sod placement, leveling soil)
  • Remove debris, leaves, and litter from grounds and walkways
  • Maintain irrigation systems and assist with seasonal tasks like snow removal or leaf cleanup
  • Follow safety procedures and respect all cemetery regulations and protocols
  • Interact courteously with visitors, maintaining a quiet and professional demeanor at all times

Qualifications
