Job Summary:

This positionโ€™s primary responsibility is to maintain cemetery grounds, establish and maintain official City records and files and to provide assistance to the public and city staff.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. General office functions such as emails, processing paperwork and payment, answering phone calls, and maintaining cemetery records in coordination with City Hall;

2. Assists in the sale and layout of grave sites; shows sites;

3. Opens and closes graves as necessary;

4. Assists the public with locating grave sites;

5. Maintains structures such as mausoleum, shop, office, and fencing;

6. Performs general cemetery maintenance such as stone leveling and clean-up, mowing, and tree removal as needed;

7. Maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment and facilities as needed;

8. Operating a variety of trucks, backhoe, mowers, and other heavy equipment as needed;

9. Installs, maintains, repairs, and removes holiday decorations as needed;

10.Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

1. Must be eighteen years of age or older.

2. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

3. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs above head and chest high on an occasional basis.

4. Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and lift on an as needed basis.

5. Knowledge of and remain current in emerging office practices, procedures, soft wares and equipment such as Microsoft Suites, Google Suites, printers and scanners.
