Position at XL Industries Inc
Opportunity to be a part of a $4 Billion international construction company focused on growing in the US, the perfect candidate will be a great communicator, highly motivated, flexible, patient and have a strong desire to continually improve processes. They must be organized and be able to multitask. They must be a person who isn't afraid to make decisions or delegate. This person will ultimately be responsible for producing accurate and timely financials and be a strong partner to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with internal and external reporting requirements
  • Review all general ledger account reconciliations prepared by staff
  • Oversee various audits including annual year end audit, insurance, tax, and other various 3rd party audits. Oversees, monitors and constantly works to improve accounting procedures, internal controls and data base management
  • Manages all financial requests associated with RFQ's and various marketing requests
  • Maintain fixed asset ledgers and related transactions
  • Lead and or be highly involved in leadership meetings
  • Manage quarterly bank related requirements
  • Manage a group of 15 with 3-5 direct reports
  • Provide coaching and training to accounting personnel; develop a career path for 3-5 direct reports
  • Support and lead projects around integration of the XL Industries business unit into corporate
  • Support divisional and corporate initiatives and reporting
  • Other projects as assigned such as software implementations and financial analysis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business required
  • CPA, CMA and/or CCIFP is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of accounting experience required. Must have worked with the Work in Process
    • (WIP)and have a thorough understanding of inner workings of the balance sheet
  • Supervisory experience of a group of minimum 5-10 is required
  • Experience in construction or construction-related industry is required
  • Experience with consolidations of multiple entities with intercompany reconciliations required
  • Extensive use of job cost accounting systems, preferably Vista by Viewpoint or SAP
  • Significant experience with Excel and other financial applications such as budgeting and business intelligence packages
  • Comfortable in interacting with all levels of management; approachable with leadership qualities
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Possess entrepreneurial spirit looking for opportunities in the business
  • Must have strong decision making skills

Compensation & Benefits:
In accordance with California's pay transparency requirements, the base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may also include performance-based bonuses.
