Job Description

Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield is looking for a Marketing Campaign Manager to join our team, supporting both marketing campaign execution and operational communications that are essential to our member, employer, agent and business partner experience.

Wellmark is looking for a Marketing Campaign Manager to join their team to focus on B2B and sales distribution channels.

As a Marketing Campaign Manager, you will manage end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives to increase account and membership growth and retention across Wellmark's lines of business. The primary focus will be on Wellmark's B2B and sales distribution channels. You will provide strategic input into development of marketing campaigns and programs, sales enablement materials and manage execution of integrated campaigns and initiatives to achieve planned goals, while meeting timelines and budgets.

Ideal candidates will have experience in B2B and sales distribution marketing, consumer marketing, and/or operational communications, preferably within the insurance, health care or financial service industries. You have a demonstrated history of successful campaign management experience as it relates to the execution of marketing programs or operational communications. You have the ability to balance exceptional campaign management, attention-to-detail, and cross-functional collaboration-while being energized by both structured operational workflows and creative, strategic marketing initiatives. Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, or direct and applicable work experience.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in consumer marketing, digital marketing, operational communications, or related field, including previous work developing and executing measurable marketing programs and initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and promotion strategies, with an emphasis on product and service positioning, concept development or tactical execution.
  • Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills to plan and measure marketing performance.
  • Proactive, self-starter and someone who thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced, ever-changing, collaborative environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must articulate information accurately to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, as well as represent Wellmark's brand with professionalism. Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking, and poise in all situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Advanced ability to cultivate peer and key stakeholder relationships in order to influence others and drive results. Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency with MS Office - e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Health insurance experience and/or experience selling consumer insurance products.
  • Experience working with third-party sales channels as a growth driver.
  • Experience in digital marketing programs and related tools/software, especially Adobe Experience Cloud (Marketo, CJA, WorkFront, etc.).
  • Experience in operational communications, including flawless execution of direct mail.
Additional Information

a. Collaborate with Marketing and Corporate Communications teams and agency partners to plan multi-channel campaigns and bring them to life across channels and programs. Evaluate plans for schedule, scope, budgets, deliverables and delivery of defined objectives and goals.

b. Lead the campaign execution for all assigned initiatives, working to meet defined goals and objectives. This includes: 1) initiating development of creative and seeing it through completion; 2) being a point of reference for any tactical deliverables; 3) reviewing materials for consistency and quality; 4) leading work across the Marketing and Corporate Communications team and vendors; 5) managing targeting criteria, distribution lists and all campaign deliverables to ensure seamless execution of campaigns as defined; and 6) adhering to all process and operational procedures and securing all necessary stakeholder and Legal approvals as defined. Projects could include, but are not limited to: emails, web, digital, direct mail, content, newsletters, marketing collateral, broker/client/member communications, operational communications, special events, and presentation materials.

c. Update and manage the production of complex multi-channel, multi-version communications and marketing materials and comprehensive integrated campaigns.

d. Use workflow, content management and email systems to support distribution of content via emails, digital newsletters and other channels.

e. Manage vendor relationships for outsourced project components, including defining scope, managing deliverables, and facilitating information/learnings/etc., back to internal stakeholders. Work with vendors for optimal pricing and delivery.

f. Coordinate and communicate progress against plan, and project issues and changes to the campaign team.

g. Measure and report campaign effectiveness. Use data to monitor campaign performance and drive optimizations based on analytical insights.

h. Represent Marketing on cross-functional teams to assist in executing strategic plans and deliver on defined goals and objectives.

i. Demonstrate understanding of Wellmark's products and services and apply knowledge to marketing execution.

j. Follow documented team workflow, production cycles and approval processes. Maintain detailed project and tracking documentation.

k. Proficiently use marketing technology stack to plan, execute, deploy and track success of campaign deliverables.

l. Monitor marketing metrics and KPIs to track success of campaigns and initiatives and optimize efforts. Work with team to develop regular performance reporting, including comprehensive reports at close of campaigns.

m. Proofread content thoroughly and edit materials to ensure language, tone and grammar are channel appropriate and in compliance with Wellmark's brand guidelines. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, and other regulatory entity guidelines.

n. Other duties as assigned.
