Job description

Job Summary:

The Hotel Cafeteria Attendant is responsible for providing cleanliness in the cafeteria, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment. This role includes assisting with food and beverage service, maintaining the cleanliness of the cafeteria, and ensuring that all associates have a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

Pay: $16.00 USD/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food and Beverage Service: Ensuring proper presentation and portion sizes according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that dining tables, chairs, floors, and all areas of the cafeteria are clean and well-maintained at all times. Clean spills and crumbs promptly and wipe down surfaces as needed.
  • Stocking and Restocking: Monitor food stations, ensuring items are replenished regularly throughout service. Restock beverages, condiments, napkins, and utensils as required.
  • Monitor Food Safety Standards: Adhere to proper food handling and safety regulations, ensuring that food is stored, prepared, and served in a hygienic manner.
  • Assist in Buffet Setup: Help in setting up buffet tables or food stations, ensuring that food items are neatly arranged, labeled, and maintained throughout the meal period.
  • Problem Resolution: Address any complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, reporting serious issues to the supervisor or manager.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other cafeteria attendants, kitchen staff, and management to ensure the smooth operation of the cafeteria.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
