CNC Manufacturing Engineer Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience with CNC programming for lathes (2 and 3 axis, with bar feeders) and mills (3, 4, & 5 axis)
  • Familiarity with NDT, heat treatment, and coating processes for aerospace, defense, or medical parts
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM and DNC systems
  • Experience machining stainless steel and aluminum
  • Ability to create and edit shop floor inspection sheets
  • Demonstrated skills in process planning and new product introduction (NPI)
  • Ability to order and select cutting tools, holders, lathe jaws, and milling fixtures
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
CNC Manufacturing Engineer Preferred Background & Skills
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience supporting shop scheduling processes
  • Prior exposure to generating estimates for new business
