READ ON!!!! This Business Unit Controller role serves as the financial leaders over 2 newly acquired sites in Tampa and Rockledge area. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast paced environment, supporting the corporate finance team with local financial reporting,  this could be a great opportunity!

Immediate opening for a Business Unit Controller in Tampa, FL. who possesses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years accounting experience preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Firm grasp of ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze financial data.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and independent with a strong work ethic.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Attention to detail with ability to frame financial and accounting impact.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Close the monthly and year-end books, ensuring transactions are accurately reflected in the GL and compliance with GAAP
  • Manage and coordinate with other teams (Engineering, Operations, etc.) to ensure accurate cost accounting expenses for Materials, Labor, Overhead, BOM, Routers, etc.
  • Estimate new and proposed product costs and run standard cost roll-ups on the ERP system
  • Ensures all account reconciliations are prepared timely
  • Monthly, weekly, and daily internal reports to management
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Coordinates A/P and A/R activity with other team members.
  • Analyzes actual results vs. plan.
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Supports commissions calculations for internal and external sales reps.
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Work with SVP Finance and Corporate Controller to develop policies, and procedures, including the design and implementation of processes and internal controls
  • Other special finance and accounting projects as assigned.
