Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Human Data powers model training and evaluation by producing high-quality human-generated data at scale. This role focuses on the metrics, systems, and operating insights that help Human Data run efficiently-spanning workforce performance, capacity and allocation, operational process health, and decision-making support for cross-functional partners. Our ideal candidate is a proactive analyst with strong quantitative skills and operational judgment, able to turn incomplete data into clear recommendations that improve throughput, quality, cost, and reliability. You will partner with operations leaders, engineering stakeholders, and enabling teams to identify problems, build operating systems, and drive improved planning decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform analyses of Human Data operational metrics-such as capacity, utilization, quality, throughput, cycle time, cost efficiency, and workforce health-to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain reporting, trackers, and dashboards that make core operating KPIs visible and actionable for managers and cross-functional partners.
  • Develop and improve planning and forecasting views (e.g., demand signals, supply/capacity, staffing needs, or process volumes) that support proactive, informed decisions.
  • Support allocation and operating tradeoffs by synthesizing operational and performance data into clear recommendations for who/what should move where.
  • Design, document, and refine operational processes and escalation paths so recurring work - performance actions, staffing, handoffs, and similar flows - is consistent, measurable, and scalable.
  • Identify data gaps and partner with stakeholders to improve data collection, hygiene, and definitions so analysis and operating systems remain reliable.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, recruiting, onboarding, finance, and other partners to integrate insights into hiring, staffing, performance management, and operational planning decisions.
  • Deliver concise readouts and recommendations to stakeholders, translating analysis into business-oriented next steps and tradeoffs.
  • Own ad-hoc research and special projects that improve Human Data operating leverage.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of professional experience in business analytics, business operations, consulting, workforce/operations analysis, or growth/ops strategy
  • 1+ years of experience building and owning analytical models, trackers, or operating systems in Excel / Google Sheets or equivalent
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization
  • Experience with forecasting, capacity planning, workforce analytics, or performance metrics
  • Proficiency in statistical or analytical techniques (e.g., cohort analysis, regression, time-series, anomaly detection) in Python, R, or similar
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) or modern BI workflows
  • Background in high-growth tech, marketplace/staffing operations, data labeling, human-in-the-loop systems, or consulting environments
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of presenting insights to non-technical audiences and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Project management experience, including prioritizing work in fast-paced settings and driving process change with diverse stakeholders
  • Comfort using modern AI tools to accelerate analysis and operational workflow design
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Travel to other SpaceXAI sites may be required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$122,000 - $180,000 USD

Base salary is just one part of our total rewards package at SpaceXAI, which also includes equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short & long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and various other discounts and perks.
