Job description

We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Business Operations Analyst to support the daily execution of fleet, logistics, and operational workflows. This role is responsible for coordinating transportation assets, monitoring carrier performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, analyzing operational data, and resolving day-to-day logistics challenges. In addition, the Business Operations Analyst will serve as a cross-functional resource, supporting a variety of business operations initiatives and special projects as organizational needs evolve.
Key ResponsibilitiesFleet & Logistics Operations
  • Monitor vehicle locations, transit statuses, and dispatch schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and drivers, resolving delays, route disruptions, documentation issues, and operational concerns.
  • Maintain compliance with transportation regulations, including DOT requirements, Hours of Service (HOS), Electronic Logging Device (ELD) standards, driver credential tracking, and vehicle registrations and permits.
  • Coordinate routine fleet maintenance and service schedules to ensure operational readiness.
  • Audit driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs), carrier invoices, and operational records for accuracy and compliance.
Logistics Data Analysis
  • Analyze logistics and operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, and inventory workflows to maintain inventory accuracy and support uninterrupted material flow.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse teams to monitor part availability and ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Generate actionable insights through data analysis to support operational decision-making and performance optimization.
Change Management & Systems Support
  • Maintain data integrity and system alignment across multiple operational platforms.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and reconcile data discrepancies during system transfers, integrations, and process changes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to operational systems, workflows, and reporting processes.
General Business Operations
  • Prepare and maintain daily operational dashboards, reports, and key performance metrics for leadership review.
  • Support cross-functional teams, including Finance, Procurement, Facilities, and Operations, with administrative tasks, data management, and process support.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks to improve efficiency and service levels.
  • Execute special projects and ad hoc operational initiatives as business priorities evolve.

Required QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business operations, logistics, fleet management, transportation analysis, or a related operational role.
  • Experience coordinating logistics workflows, carrier relationships, or fleet operations in a fast-paced environment.
Technical & Analytical Skills
  • Proficiency with data visualization, reporting, and dashboard development tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience managing large datasets, conducting variance analysis, and performing cost-benefit evaluations.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, or Fleet Management Software (FMS) is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business reporting tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex operational data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
