Job description

Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager to build our new Land Development team in Nashville, TN! This role is responsible for project management, leadership, profitability, and client management for the Land Development project design team. You will work within AutoCAD to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
Our team of Land Development professionals regard our clients as a strategic partner. Whether facilitating a large retail complex, residential development or planning a small stand-alone establishment in a downtown business district, we embrace the vision while guiding the client through the development process. Our expertise in implementing proven strategies and experience with the regulatory process eliminates costly delays that ensure the vision unfolds seamlessly. Our partnership includes the advantage of having our comprehensive suite of in-house services at the client's disposal, which keeps design timelines on track.
Responsibilities
  • Project management of land development plans, stormwater management, water and sanitary sewer, soil erosion and sediment control design.
  • Managing multiple projects and workload with competing deadlines.
  • Quality control.
  • Regulatory agency permitting.
  • Proposal scope and budget preparation.
  • Financial management including invoice preparation and accounts receivable.
  • Scheduling of projects so that they succeed.
  • Properly manage clients and bring in new clientele as well.
  • Hiring, mentoring and training new staff to build a successful Civil/Site team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
  • 10+ years of site design experience is required.
  • PE license is required.
  • Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations in TN.
  • Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analyses, grading and other site development related designs.
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Construction oversight experience a plus.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
