Job description

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Creative | Digital | Production | Live Events

Gateway Group Personnel has been exclusively engaged by an established, highly respected creative services organization to identify a Business Development Manager to help drive its next phase of growth.
This is a newly created role for an entrepreneurial business developer who knows how to create opportunities—not simply manage leads.

The organization has a 30+ year track record, exceptional client reputation, strong internal capabilities, and the resources to execute what its business development team sells.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Business Development Manager will develop new client relationships and generate revenue across a broad platform of services, including:
• Digital marketing
• Video and content production
• Creative services
• Live events

While Digital represents an important growth initiative, this person will have the ability to introduce clients to solutions across the entire organization.

This is not a transactional sales position and is not designed for someone dependent upon inbound or company-generated leads.

We are looking for someone who can:
• Identify opportunities and target prospects
• Develop relationships with senior decision makers
• Understand business and marketing challenges
• Help develop creative solutions
• Present ideas and proposals effectively
• Convert relationships into revenue
• Build long-term client partnerships
• Represent the organization within the business community

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will bring a successful track record in business development, strategic partnerships, client development, or revenue generation.

Relevant backgrounds may include:
• Advertising or creative agencies
• Digital marketing
• Video / production
• Media and integrated advertising
• Strategic partnerships
• Marketing or professional services

Experience selling creative, digital, production, or marketing solutions is highly desirable but not required.

We are equally interested in an accomplished relationship-driven business developer who can demonstrate a history of personally originating meaningful new business.

THE IDEAL PROFILE
You may be a strong fit if you:
• Generate your own opportunities and relationships
• Enjoy opening doors and developing new markets
• Sell solutions rather than products
• Communicate comfortably with executives and business owners
• Are highly credible, polished, and relationship oriented
• Have an entrepreneurial mindset
• Enjoy collaborating with creative and operational teams
• Want meaningful income upside tied to your results

Candidates who understand both business development and creative/production execution will be especially compelling.

WHY CONSIDER THIS OPPORTUNITY?
This organization offers something many business developers in the creative space lack:
The internal resources to deliver what you sell.

Rather than spending significant time personally managing fulfillment or coordinating multiple outside resources, this person will be supported by established teams capable of executing across digital, production, creative, and live-event solutions.

For the right individual, this creates an opportunity to spend more time doing what successful business developers do best:
Building relationships. Creating ideas. Winning business.

Additional highlights include:
• Established 30+ year company
• Outstanding market reputation
• Strong internal resources and infrastructure
• Highly tenured team
• Collaborative, family-oriented culture
• Excellent employee benefits
• Significant earnings upside
• Opportunity to help develop new geographic markets

LOCATION
The search will primarily focus on candidates in:
Memphis | Nashville | Little Rock | Birmingham

The position offers geographic flexibility for the right candidate, and much of the business can be developed across regional and national markets.

Candidates with strong relationships and market presence in Nashville are particularly encouraged to explore the opportunity.

COMPENSATION
The compensation structure will include:
Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Commission Opportunity

Target earnings for a successful performer are expected to reach well into six figures, with additional upside for exceptional performance.

Compensation may be structured around the experience, relationships, and demonstrated revenue-generation history of the selected candidate.

CONFIDENTIAL INQUIRIES
Gateway Group Personnel is managing this search on an exclusive basis.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for confidential consideration.
