Position Summary
The Director - Global Business Development is responsible for driving strategic sales growth and business development efforts across multinational accounts throughout the United States. This role focuses on securing new 3PL/TPL business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and delivering customized global logistics solutions. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales leader with extensive experience managing complex logistics programs, global RFQs, and cross-functional customer engagements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8-12 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and Freight Forwarding
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, and logistics solutions
  • Experience developing business strategies and leading new business initiatives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business applications

  • Drive upselling initiatives across freight forwarding, drayage, warehousing, and related services
  • Lead global RFQ responses and pricing strategy development

Account Management & Customer Relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key global clients

  • Deliver performance reviews and business updates to customers

  • Collaborate with global headquarters, regional offices, and operational teams to execute customer programs
  • Lead implementation and onboarding of new accounts, including system integration and SOP development

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to enhance service offerings and support strategic growth initiatives
  • Provide market intelligence and industry insights to support business decisions
  • Train and support operational teams on customer requirements and service expectations
  • Represent GLOVIS America during executive-level customer meetings and business reviews
