Description

The Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing enterprise-wide resilience programs within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures the organization can sustain critical production and business operations while effectively recovering IT systems through structured planning, testing, and crisis readiness. This position is onsite 5 days per week at our Irvine Headquarters and reports directly to the Disaster Recovery Manager. The role plays a key part in advancing overall DR program maturity, with a strong emphasis on transitioning recovery capabilities from on-premises environments to cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure (Azure) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities • Lead and enhance Disaster Recovery (DR) testing programs, with a primary focus on cloud-based testing in Azure and AWS, driving consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement • Support and accelerate the transition of DR strategies and testing from on-premises to cloud environments, including modernization of recovery approaches • Develop and align DR capabilities to a 3–5-year strategic roadmap, strengthening long-term program maturity and organizational resilience • Coordinate and continuously improve Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Application Recovery Plans (ARP), and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, ensuring accuracy and readiness • Validate recovery strategies to meet defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) • Partner with Infrastructure, Application Support teams, and stakeholders across multiple business units to ensure recovery strategies align with operational requirements • Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical processes, dependencies, and system recovery priorities • Participate in and support on-premises DR testing activities, in coordination with a dedicated on-prem testing role • Design and facilitate training sessions, tabletop exercises (TTX), and recovery simulations to improve organizational preparedness • Develop and strengthen the Crisis Management Team (CMT), including roles, responsibilities, and response procedures • Manage Business Continuity Steering Committee meetings, including agenda development, reporting, and action tracking • Deliver leadership reporting on testing outcomes, risks, gaps, and overall program maturity • Support incident response and crisis management efforts as required ________________________________________

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
