What You'll Do

As a Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Analyst, you will assist the development, maintenance, testing, and continuous improvement of Silgan's business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities. You will work closely with Business Technology, Security, Operations, and business units to maintain organizational readiness and resiliency.

Key Responsibilities

Business Continuity

  • Assist with Business Impact Analysis (BIA) development and maintenance across business units
  • Coordinate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) creation and updates
  • Support awareness, training, and communication activities related to continuity planning
  • Facilitate and document tabletop exercises, simulations, and testing activities

Disaster Recovery

  • Partner with Business Technology teams to maintain Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) for systems and infrastructure
  • Disaster recovery testing activities including failover exercises and recovery validations
  • Conduct risk assessments related to system outages, vulnerabilities, and operational disruptions
  • Maintain recovery runbooks, procedures, and resiliency documentation

Risk, Compliance & Governance

  • Assist in the alignment with regulatory and audit frameworks including ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, SOC, HIPAA, and PCI requirements
  • Assist with audit preparation and remediation tracking activities
  • Maintain BCDR repositories, templates, documentation, and status reporting

Program Coordination & Communication

  • Participate in coordination activities during incidents or operational disruptions
  • Maintain communication materials, dashboards, and reporting documentation
  • Monitor industry best practices and recommend process improvements
  • Work with cross-functional teams on organizational resiliency initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, IT Operations, Risk Management, or Compliance
  • Strong understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT service management principles
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, or ITIL
  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Experience with disaster recovery testing or continuity exercises preferred
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure or cloud recovery technologies preferred
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Certifications such as CBCP, ADRP, ITIL Foundation, or similar preferred
